At the Scottish Association for Marine Science (SAMS) and SAMS Enterprise we are committed to protecting the health of our staff, customers and visitors, and the health, wellbeing and resilience of the nation in general.
We are therefore strictly following the government’s instructions on social distancing and all but SAMS’ own core key staff are now working from their homes. Whilst this will inevitably lead to adopting and evolving systems and processes for efficient remote working, we are, as far as is practicably possible, very much open for business to deliver our existing commitments and available to take on new work where we can.
The SAMS laboratory is now closed for all but essential services and this will compromise our ability to deliver certain non-essential services e.g. analytical services, field related services or seaweed hatchery services. We will advise customers individually if this is likely to affect the delivery of existing work or the commencement of new work.
For projects which are currently underway, our Project Managers will continue to provide progress updates on a regular basis. Should work be impacted by COVID-19 or by any other cause, our Project Managers will immediately advise this.
Should you wish to contact the SAMS Enterprise team, we would ask that you do so by email to your regular contact or via info@sams-enterprise.com. Emails are being monitored and responded to, but we are unable to receive incoming calls at this time.
We thank you sincerely for your patience and support during this challenging time and we wish that you, your families and your friends and colleagues stay safe and well.
